Borrowing Privileges: Students, faculty, staff, and alumni may borrow materials from the James B. Duke Memorial Library. Students are required to have a current JCSU ID card and a library barcode in order to check out materials. Library barcodes are also available at the Circulation Desk. Loan Periods: ¨Students
- Maximum 30 items - Standard loan period of 4 weeks Renewals: ¨One
additional renewal period may be granted if no hold has Returning Materials:
¨All patrons are responsible for
returning library materials by the Fines: ¨Overdue
Fines - 25 cents per item per day up to a maximum of ¨Lost
charges - Cost of the book + $25 processing fee + $1.00
¨Students
will be blocked from checking out any other materials Non-Circulating Items: Reference items, reserve materials, bound journals, microfiche, microfilm, and periodicals are available for in-library use only. Study Rooms: ¨Students must apply for a study room at the Circulation Desk. ¨A valid photo ID is required and is kept while the room is in use.
¨Library staff will unlock rooms, and all library rules including
no Lost and Found: Items are kept at the Circulation Desk until the of the end of the current semester. Detection System: All library materials have theft detection devices affixed. If the alarm at the entrances sounds please return to the Circulation Desk so that the staff may verify that all materials have been checked out properly. View Your Circulation Record: To see a list of items that are checked out to you, and any fines and/or fees pending visit the JCSU Library Catalog and click on View Your Patron Record. You must supply your Library barcode.
