HISTORICAL
NOTE: This Vernacular style house was built in 1895. It was the home of Dr.
George E. Davis, the first black professor at Biddle University. Dr. Davis was
also the leading agent for the Rosenwald Fund. The Rosenwald Fund was
established to support the construction of school buildings for black students.
