HISTORICAL
NOTE: The sport of basketball came to the campus of Biddle University in
1916, under the sponsorship of the YMCA. Immediately following the erection of
the Hartley Woods Gymnasium 1928, the university began to play competitive
basketball in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA). The coach
of the basketball team was Randy Taylor. The CIAA held their first Basketball
Tournament in 1946. By 1952, the Bulls were playing well enough to reach the
final in tournament play. In 1960, the Bulls won the CIAA
Basketball Championship.
