DESCRIPTION:  The Bull Pen Collection contains photographs, and other materials relating to student activities and organizations on the campus of Biddle University. These materials are housed in the Inez Moore Parker Archives and Research Center at Johnson C. Smith University.

HISTORICAL NOTE: The Orchestra and Brass Band was organized in 1912 by Dr. Thomas A. Long at Biddle University. The University band performed at annual concerts and at various social functions on the campus. Over the years, the University band has survived several name changes. The band has been referred to as the Orchestra and Brass Band (1912), the Royal Collegians (1947), and the University Marching Band (1968-1979). It is presently known as the International Institution of Sound.
