The James B. Duke Memorial Library
provides access to a variety of multidisciplinary scholarly
journals, magazines, newspapers and e-books via our electronic
resources databases. These subscription based resources are offered
to supplement the library's print resources and to provide the most
current information available for research and information needs.
Access to databases is permitted
within the library, as well as from any location on or off campus.
However, due to licensing restrictions access to some electronic
resources are limited to current JCSU students, faculty, and staff
with valid user ID's and passwords.

AccessScience
This database is the online
version of the McGraw-Hill Encyclopedia of Science &
Technology. This updated full search database includes
recent research developments in the fields of science and
technology, biographies of scientists, noble prizewinners in
all fields and provides links to related selected web sites.

Encyclopedia Britannica Online
This is the electronic versions
of the Encyclopedia Britannica. the online versions includes
all articles from the print Britannica, as well as
additional articles, illustrations, maps and specially
selected related Internet links.

ERIC Documents Online
Educational Resources
Information Center (ERIC) is a nationwide information
network sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education. This
database allows you to search for articles, technical
reports, and related documents in the field of education.
Provides 80% of full-text ERIC documents from 1996 forward.
Our library microfiche collection holdings from 1994 through
2001 are located in the microfiche cabinets on the first
floor of the library.

JSTOR
An archival database of older
scholarly journals in the humanities, sciences, and social
sciences. this is a full text database, and contains
complete backfiles of core journals starting with first
issues, many of which date back to the 1800s. Most titles
published within the last 2-5 years are not included.

A comprehensive, full text
database covering: News, Business, Legal, reference, and
Medical resources.

A statistical
database containing over 30,000 tables produced by federal
agencies, states, and intergovernmental organizations..

A North Carolina
statewide-shared electronic information network providing
access to a variety of multidisciplinary databases. These
databases contain thousands of journals, magazines,
newspapers, and eBooks covering a wide range of subject
areas. Many databases provide full text availability.

Provides bibliographic citations, abstracts and nearly 300
academic journals in psychology and related fields, all in
full text from 1992 forward.
